Robert Woods

Chairman
Since retiring as Chairman of Syngenta Corporation in the U.S. in 2003, Bob Woods has been a business management consultant. He works with various companies, both public and private, in the agricultural, biotechnology and specialty chemical industries. Mr. Woods is also CEO of Athena Biotechnologies Inc and is on several boards of both private corporations and biotech start-up companies. Prior to his work at Syngenta, Mr. Woods held several key leadership roles within the agricultural products business including serving as President of the U.S. and Canadian business of Zeneca Ag Products Group prior to its merger with Novartis to form Syngenta. He is also past chairman of the Crop Life America industry association and currently serves on their Foundation Board.

Robert W. Day, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Day retired as President of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in mid-1997 after serving as President for 16 years during which time the Center grew from 300 to more than 2,000 staff members. He currently is a member of the National Cancer Policy Board (National Academy of Sciences/Institute of Medicine). He is Chairman and CEO of ORCA BioSciences and serves on a number of Boards of Directors. He attended Harvard College and holds an M.D. from the University of Chicago and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Since taking over the family business in 1979, Mr. Barkley has expanded Barkley Company’s agricultural interests to include seed and grain handling, cotton trading and freight services to the agricultural industry. Barkley AG Enterprises is involved in cereal grain development and merchandising, commodity marketing and production agriculture.

Vice President, Investments, GrowthWorks (WVIS) Ltd.Mr. Regan joined GrowthWorks in early 2003, bringing over a decade of life sciences venture capital and pharmaceutical industry experience. He has been active in both company creation and the strategic growth of portfolio companies. Mr. Regan has an Honours BSc (with distinction) from the University of Guelph and an MBA (Dean’s List) from McMaster University. He also currently serves on the Boards of Cytochroma, Inc., Kytogenics Limited, Dynacon, Inc., Molecular Templates, Inc., SimEx Inc., Sunnybrook Working Ventures Medical Discovery Fund Inc. and Working Ventures CMDP Queen’s Scientific Breakthrough Fund Inc.

Thomas Todaro

Mr. Todaro co-founded Targeted Growth in 1999, based on novel cell cycle regulator technologies. Mr. Todaro has worked in agribusiness since 1992 directing investments in dairy processing and timber plantations. He is the former General Manager of Alamar Farms Ltd., a Canadian dairy processor located in Vancouver, B.C., and sits on the Board of Directors of BonLac Dairies in Panama City, Panama. Prior to rejoining TGI, Mr. Todaro served as Senior Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions at PayPal. Mr. Todaro was responsible for all aspects of M&A, both national and International. He was also involved in raising over $200 Million in equity capital and the IPO of PayPal (PYPL) for $1.2 Billion in 2002. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from The Colorado College and a Master’s in Economics from Stanford University.

Ion Yadigaroglu

Mr. Yadigaroglu co-heads Capricorn Investment Group. Capricorn is the investment arm of Jeff Skoll, the first president and first full-time employee of eBay; Capricorn is also the investment manager for the Skoll Foundation, and an affiliate of Participant Productions, which films include “Good Night, and Good Luck,” “Syriana,” and “An Inconvenient Truth.” Mr. Yadigaroglu was previously with Koch Industries, Inc., the largest privately owned company in the world, as Director of Business Development, where he executed a broad range of acquisitions and investments. Prior to Koch, he was a founder and CEO of Bivio, a software engineering company in Colorado, and an analyst for Olsen & Associates, a foreign exchange trading company in Switzerland. After receiving a degree in Physics from ETHZ in Switzerland, Mr. Yadigaroglu obtained a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Stanford University in 1997, and was a research fellow at Columbia University.
